Contract Administration

At George Street Group, we provide a wide array of contract administration services. Our construction administration services help ensure that all aspects of construction contracts are effectively managed, helping mitigate both commercial and financial risks, whilst maintaining contractual compliance to facilitate successful project delivery.

With most construction projects faced with unique challenges such as change requests through project delivery, unique and challenging project risks along with strict regulatory and compliance requirements, George Street Group can assist our clients with the administration of all commercial aspects of a construction project.

Our commercial savviness allows us to assist our clients with contract reviews, head contract and subcontract management, variations or extension of time claims.

Design Management

George Street Group works closely with our client to establish a clear and comprehensive design brief which outlines the requirements and objectives of the project. This allows suitable consultants to be appointed such as architects, engineers and service consultants.  

Upon appointment of relevant consultants, our design management services will see George Street Group manage the design process on behalf our client. Throughout the design process, George Street Group will oversee the design progression, ensuring that matters such as project costs, buildability, quality assurance along with client requirements are satisfied.

Our methodical and pragmatic design management approach sees our clients avoid costly design changes and provide greater value for money.

Design Management

Remedial Project Management Services

At George Street Group, we understand the unique challenges that come with remedial projects, whether it’s addressing building defects, waterproofing failures, structural issues, or compliance requirements. These projects demand more than just technical knowledge; they require strategic planning, significant stakeholder coordination, and precise execution to minimise disruption and deliver lasting results.

As your client-side project management partner, George Street Group act as your independent advocate throughout the entire remedial process. From defect investigations and scope development to tendering, contractor engagement, and quality assurance, we manage every step with complete transparency and accountability. We have significant experience liaising with Consultants, Contractors, Expert Witnesses and Law Firms.

Our team has extensive experience working with Strata Managers, Owners’ Corporations, and Asset Managers. We ensure compliance with Australian Standards, RAB Act, DPB Act, WHS requirements, and relevant Building Codes while preserving your budget and timeline. With George Street Group managing your remedial works, you can have confidence that the project will be delivered with minimal disruption, maximum efficiency, and long-term performance in mind.

Fire Order Works

In New South Wales, local Councils along with Fire Rescue New South Wales (FRNSW) have the legal right to issue Fire Orders under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979. Fire Orders are issued by local Councils or FRNSW to initiate a response to deficiencies in fire safety systems and to address risks that could impact egress and occupant safety in the event of a fire.

George Street Group represents the Owners’ Corporation, acting as the Client’s representative in communicating with both Council and FRNSW to clarify the intent of the Fire Order, request extensions if needed, and manage general expectations. Throughout the process, George Street Group also manage the engagement of relevant building consultants, such as Fire Safety Engineers, Certifiers and Engineers to allow relevant designs along with any necessary Performance Solutions to be developed.

George Street Group works closely with the Owners’ Corporation to properly define the extent of the works and evaluate tenders before engaging suitable contractors to carry out the upgrades under the subject Fire Order. Once the works commence onsite, George Street Group monitors site progress to ensure quality expectations are met and proactively coordinates all regulatory inspections to ensure the works under the subject Fire Order are completed to Australian Standards and the National Construction Code requirements. Upon the completion of works, George Street Group coordinates the lodgement of compliance documentation, such as Fire Safety Certificates and Annual Fire Safety Statements (AFSS) and liaises with the required stakeholders to formally close out the Fire Order.
